Pat Lambert
began her horse career at age five when

her parents purchased for her a
hunter show pony. She spent several years
showing ponies and became a show groom/working student by the age of
12 at a hunter/jumper barn in Florida. By age 16, her interests
turned to racehorses and she worked at a local track as groom and
exercise rider. She spent almost 20 years in the Thoroughbred
industry, first with horses racing, flying around the country with
them from track to track, then later at lay-up farms and finally at
a broodmare farm where she found working with foals and young horses
to be her greatest pleasure. She continues that work at Oakhaven,
handling our foals from the day they are born until they come under
saddle. She follows "Natural Horsemanship" methods and has studied
with Tom Curtain, Pat Parelli
and Linda Hoover. Our foals are lucky to have her as their first
teacher.
